PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Friday, December 19th
THANK YOU to all the Patton families who braved the cold weather on Saturday and dropped off donations to the Healy Family's "Toys for Tots" drive! They collected 4 boxes of toys for a great cause! Thank you to the Healy family for hosting this wonderful event and for sharing the information with us so we could contribute as well!
We had a wonderful final week of school before winter break! On Monday morning our Panthers were treated to a concert by a few of our talented Music for Youth students as they entered the building! It was a lovely start to the week with classical and holiday music! Thank you to all the students that performed.
We finished out the week in our PJs, with some fun winter stories and a fantastic "Drop Everything And Read" (D.E.A.R) event to end our day! Students were able to take a book to a location of their choosing and enjoy reading in a new space!
Before we head off, and on behalf of all the staff here at Patton, I would like to say thank you to the families that dropped of treats and goodies for us this week - from donuts to cookies to candy to bagels, our hearts (and stomachs!) are full! Thank you for thinking of us all at this busy time of the year!
I hope everyone enjoys Winter Break! May you all stay safe and warm and come back ready for an amazing 2026!
I can't wait to see our Panthers on Tuesday, January 6th! Please note there is no student attendance on Monday, January 5th.
Happy Holidays!
Ellie Chin
A NOTE FROM THE NURSE (NEW POST!)
Winter is the time of year when we notice cases of lice in our school community. While lice are a common occurrence and not a health hazard, it’s important to remain vigilant.
Please take a moment to read this INFORMATIONAL LETTER on HEAD LICE which includes helpful information about identifying and preventing the spread of lice.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
THANK YOU PTA AND PATTON FAMILIES! (NEW POST!)
Every year our amazing PTA organizes a wonderful Gift Card giveaway for the staff here at Patton! We are all so grateful for your generosity at this time of year! The thought and effort that goes into organizing this is greatly appreciated and we cannot thank everyone who contributes enough! THANK YOU!
LMC - CODING WEEK (NEW POST!)
The library welcomed all of our amazing Patton Panthers to Coding Week! The young programmers launched their creativity and problem-solving skills to outer space where they successfully navigated spaceships though the Solar System, dodged meteors, and spread kindness all across the universe. Coding is a wonderful skill that teaches students resilience and critical thinking and while our space mission is complete for now, the adventure doesn't have to stop here - visit Code.org and Scratch or Scratch Jr to continue exploring!
