Weekly Update 11/2/26
11/2/26
From the Principal
Parents, Students, and Faculty,
We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween weekend! It's hard to believe we are already welcoming November, but we are excited about all the great things ahead at Seminole County Middle School!
Our Middle School basketball teams are off to a great start and are working hard on the court! This week, our Indians will play at home Monday against Miller County and travel to PCA for away games later in the week. We encourage everyone to come out and support our student-athletes as they continue their season. There's nothing better than seeing our school community cheering on our Indians!
We are also looking forward to welcoming a special guest from Carnegie Learning to our district this week. She will be spending time in each of our schools, visiting classrooms, working alongside teachers and administrators, and reviewing our District Look-For data. This visit will provide an opportunity to reflect on our instructional practices, celebrate the great things already happening in our classrooms, and identify ways we can continue to strengthen teaching and learning. We appreciate opportunities like this that allow us to grow professionally and keep student achievement at the center of our work.
November is shaping up to be another busy and exciting month, with plenty of opportunities for learning, growth, and celebration. Here's to another great week at Seminole County Middle School, where we continue Building the Tribe, and helping every student Belong. Grow. Achieve.

Plan Ahead for Great Attendance
As you make plans throughout the year, we encourage families to use the holidays, breaks, and scheduled days off listed on this flyer for vacations, appointments, and other activities whenever possible. We know some absences are unavoidable, but every day in school matters! Planning ahead helps our students stay on track, connected, and ready to learn.
Be here. Be on time. Be ready to learn. Be Tribe Strong! 💚
FACULTY & STAFF
Building the Tribe: PE Department
This week, we are excited to spotlight our Middle School PE Team: Jessi Page, Jacob Cunningham, and Al Rumble! These teachers play an important role in helping our students develop healthy habits, stay active, and learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship. Through physical activity, friendly competition, and encouragement, they help students build confidence, develop new skills, and understand the importance of taking care of themselves. We appreciate all they do to create a positive environment where students can have fun, challenge themselves, and learn lessons that extend beyond the gym as we continue Building the Tribe!
STUDENTS
Pep Rally Fun
Our Middle School students joined the High School for the annual Pep Rally in McLeod Gymnasium, and there was no shortage of excitement or Seminole spirit! Students enjoyed coming together to cheer, celebrate, and show their Indian pride. It was a fun opportunity for our Middle and High School students to share in a school tradition, make memories, and enjoy a little friendly competition. We love seeing our students come together to support one another and show that Seminole pride runs strong at every grade level!
