Message from Principal Fredette and AP Dolan

Early Release Day

The Chelmsford Public Schools will be having an early release day on Tuesday, October 18 for professional development. For Byam, our dismissal time is at 11:45 am. Please inform the school if your child will be going home in a different manner than their typical Tuesday.

Upcoming Field Trips

We are excited to be have our kindergarten and 3rd graders going on field trips over the next two weeks. Kindergarten students will be visiting Parlee Farm on October 19 and 20. Our 3rd graders will be visiting the local Chelmsford jewel, The Garrison House. The Garrison house has traditionally been a 2nd grade field trip that I'm sure many parents attended if they were Chelmsford regiments. This year is the first year we will have 3rd grade attending this field trip. Thank you to the BSA for generously funding these opportunities that allow students to make curriculum connections off-site.

Byam School Council

We are still looking for a family and/or community member to help us by volunteering one evening (virtual or in-person) each month as members of our Byam School Council. Fear not...No experience or expertise required, but Bylaws require we do need parent volunteers in order to begin our Byam School Council for our SY2223 school year. School councils are made up of staff, family and community members who work collaboratively with Mr. Fredette and Mrs. Dolan to support our work to plan goals and strategies to guide the school's work. Great Job on Bathroom Expectations

All our students did a great job showing 3R's during our refresher of PBIS Bathroom Expectations this week! They viewed expectation videos and worked on how to respond in various scenarios.

Seeking addition to our Recess-Lunch Aide Staff

We currently have one open position to add to our wonderful recess-lunch team! Position is three hours per day for recess-lunch supervision. No experience required, training is provided on-site. Typical daily hours are 10:50 am to 1:50 pm. Please see below posting on school spring if interested in applying.

BYAM COLLECTORS FAIR! NOVEMBER 17th

We're excited for Collectors Fair to take place again this school year! For those new to Byam, this is an annual event for students to proudly display their collections to family members and classmates. There is always a wide variety of items collected by our Byam students. Students from all grade levels are welcome to participate!. The Collector’s Fair is also the night of our Fall Scholastic Book Fair.
