On Friday, January 23, 2026, Columbia Heights Public Schools will be having an E-Learning Day due to the inclement weather.

This means that students stay home and attend school on their device, similar to the E-Learning day that took place on January 9th and October 10th.

Families will receive a message from their school with the needed information this today.

Mini Adventures Child Care will be open with regular hours. Adventure Club Child Care will be closed.

All Activities and Athletics for Friday, January 23rd, are canceled. This includes scheduled events/games and practices. As of now, Saturday's scheduled events will take place as scheduled unless communicated otherwise by the Activities Department and coaches.

Please stay warm and be safe in this extremely cold weather!

January 19-25, 2026 is Paraprofessional Recognition Week! We are so grateful for our Education Assistants (Paraprofessionals) here at CHPS. Our EAs serve in a wide range of roles, including general education assistants, Special Education assistants, lunch and recess monitors, and more! EAs are the extra helping hand to teachers, a close friend to our students and an irreplaceable resource for our other staff members! Our schools would not be able to run without them!

Thank you to our Education Assistants for all you do!

Good Luck CHHS One Act! Good Luck CHHS One Act!

Good luck to our Columbia Heights High School One Act Play Cast & Crew as they compete in the Section 4AA Semi-Finals tonight at White Bear Lake!

They are competing with the play "Mariposa/Butterfly".

Two neighbors live side-by-side in Texas. A low fence separates their gardens, but much more divides them from each other. One grows flowers; the other raises vegetables. One was born in the U.S., the other in Mexico. One speaks English, the other Spanish. Their differences have kept them so far apart that if one predicts a sunny day, then the other is certain of rain. Even the arrival of a caterpillar causes disagreement—until the resulting mariposa/butterfly, and its eventual departure, unites them in wonder, sadness and a new understanding of the beautiful world they share.
