A Fall Move Toward the Future

This October marks an exciting milestone for our school community as we officially move into our brand-new building! This transition is more than just a change in location—it represents growth, opportunity, and the future we are building together for our students.

Our new facility has been designed with students in mind. Bright, welcoming spaces will inspire learning and creativity, while updated classrooms provide the flexibility to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Modern technology and improved resources will allow our staff to expand instructional opportunities and strengthen student engagement.

The new building also creates more opportunities for collaboration. With dedicated areas for group work, hands-on projects, and community activities, students will benefit from spaces that encourage teamwork and innovation. In addition, enhanced safety features and accessibility ensure that every child has an environment where they feel supported and secure.

While we celebrate the opportunities this move brings to our current students, we are equally excited for future generations who will walk these halls. This building is an investment in our children’s future—a place where learning will continue to grow, connections will flourish, and new traditions will be built.

We are grateful for the support of our families and community as we take this next step forward. Together, we are not just moving into a new building; we are creating a foundation for lifelong learning and success.

Academic Experiences Academic Experiences

All About Baseball

Baseball Week was a home run for our students! Throughout the week, students explored the world of baseball through fun, hands-on experiences. They learned about the game’s rules, equipment, and teamwork before stepping up to the plate at the batting cages to practice their swings. The group also enjoyed a special lunch outing and an afternoon of friendly competition playing wiffle ball. To top it all off, each student designed and created their very own baseball cap to wear proudly. It was a week filled with laughter, teamwork, and new experiences that truly brought the spirit of the game to life!

Reptiles

Reptile Week was an exciting, hands-on adventure for our students! They learned all about different types of reptiles through engaging, sensory-rich activities designed to make learning come alive. Students visited the zoo’s reptile house, where they got an up-close look at snakes, lizards, and turtles, and explored textures and materials in a themed sensory bin. They also created a fun reptile craft to take home, while our transition students took their learning a step further with a visit to a local reptile store. Throughout the week, students used senses exploration to discover what makes reptiles so unique—making it a truly unforgettable learning experience!

Disabilitiy Awareness

During Disabilities Awareness Week, our students had the wonderful opportunity to go trick-or-treating in the Glen Ellyn community, delivering treat bags to several local businesses and organizations. This outing was not only a fun and engaging experience for the students but also a great way to spread awareness and introduce our new building to the community. It was heartwarming to see our students connect with others, share smiles, and help the community become more familiar with who we are and what we stand for.
