The Lemon Crest ROAR

We had such a wonderful Red Ribbon Week at Lemon Crest! Students enjoyed an exciting BMX bike assembly on Monday, Fall Bingo with me yesterday, and wrapped up the week with our Halloween Parade this morning! What a fun way to celebrate our school spirit and healthy choices!

As we move into November, we want to remind families that food security and basic needs resources are available to all our Lemon Crest families. Our school is your partner; we want to support you and your children, and we’re here to help connect you with resources. Our Lemon Crest Food Pantry is open twice a month (with the exception of December), and nearby Lindo Park Elementary also hosts a community pantry twice a month through Feeding San Diego as well. We are also accepting donations for our school’s “Community Closet” in the counselor’s office, including hygiene products, gently used clothing, shelf-stable food items, and other essentials. These items help us support families in need right here at Lemon Crest.

If your family is experiencing hardship, please reach out to Principal Price, your child’s teacher, or our school counselor. We are here as your partners and want to help connect you with the support and resources your family may need.

Lemon Crest Food Pantry Dates: Feeding San Diego is hosting FREE food distribution at Lemon Crest! Receive pantry staples and fresh produce at no cost! We ask that you bring your own bags and/or wagon to carry your groceries. Food is distributed on a first come, first serve basis on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 11:45am after our early release Wednesday dismissal until 1:45pm:

If you have a question or concern about your child, we encourage you to speak with your child's teacher first. Please note that during the instructional day, teachers and staff may not be able to respond to your message, email or call since they are busy doing what they do best: teaching! Your child's teacher will respond to you when they are able. Thank you for understanding!
