The Ridge Games

Looking for the perfect way to close out the school year? Meet The Ridge Games — a Hunger Games-themed field day competition hosted at Peachtree Ridge Park on Saturday, April 18th. There's something for everyone, and the whole community is invited!

High school students can register to compete in teams of 6 across six color districts in a classic elimination-style tournament. The games are fun and nostalgic — think sack races, relays, musical chairs, and a final championship game of Capture the Flag to crown the winning district. Athletes and non-athletes alike are welcome — this one is for everyone.

Not competing? No problem. The Spectator Zone is packed with its own activities — tug-of-war, Red Light Green Light (Squid Game style), Ro Sham Bo relay, bounce houses, food trucks, and more. Perfect for siblings, parents, and anyone who just wants to show up and have a great time.

And to top it all off, Main Event is sponsoring the afterparty — the winning district gets FREE VIP tickets and exclusive prizes. Everyone is invited and gets special Ridge Games pricing on activities.

Seniors, this one's for you. Come compete, come cheer, and make one of the best memories as you close out your high school career.

Registration is $20 per competitor at theridgegames.com | IG - @the_ridge_games

Gwinnett County Science and Engineering Fair

53 students and 30 projects competed at the annual Gwinnett County Science and Engineering Fair across various disciplines. The following students have been recognized for their potential, ingenuity, and impact.

Eight of our projects have been selected to advance to the state fair, the highest number that Peachtree Ridge has sent so far. These students will compete against projects from across Georgia for various awards, scholarships, and a potential invitation to the international fair in Arizona.

Beyond that, two of our students have been invited directly to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, the most prestigious and competitive science and engineering fair in the world. These students will present their research on bacterial communication networks (Julia Lee) and reproduction rates in nematodes exposed to environmental toxins (Nova Nguyen) to judges and peers from around the globe.
