We now have 488 members! Thank you to all those that have already joined. Let's keep the momentum going we're trying to get past 500!

Here is how a sample kit looks! We will add your child's name on the kit and be sure it gets in their classroom!

We're excited to introduce Superstars Helping Superstars, an opportunity to help others show their Arlington school spirit. Donate any outgrown or unwanted spiritwear so that others have the opportunity to wear it too.

Our shop to buy Arlington shirts and sweatshirts is now closed. We will re-open the store in SPRING!

Our Arlington PTA raised $1, 071 at our August 27th fundraiser at Shake Shack! Thanks for showing up, this was our highest Shake Shack fundraiser to date!

Your funds will add to our PTA general funds that are dispersed for admin items, field trips, teacher classroom supplies, and special PTA family events!

THANK YOU!

🐬🌴🏄🏻‍♂️We have a really awesome fundraiser just around the corner! 😎🌊🚶🏻‍♀️

The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship walk is a 3.4 mile long walk down a path lined with students, families, neighbors, community members, and even cheerleaders from the local high schools! (We will start at Manhattan Pier and walk towards Hermosa Pier and then walk back)

Please save the date in your calendar for our October Skechers walk and Arlington beach day!! We will roll out the registration details soon! It is on a Sunday morning.

It's still hot in October so what better way to spend the weekend then being outdoors and with friends and classmates at the beach! I can't wait!

Do you see how the empty beach is practically calling us to come out there?!!

VERY IMPORTANT: When you register you MUST:

✅Join team Arlington

✅Register as a walker (in-person or virtual)

✅Check TEF: Torrance Education Foundation for our school to get the funds

Any questions: email Chrystal Pastell at vp2.arlingtonpta@gmail.com and she will help you out right away!

We held our first Arlington board meeting of the year! The elected board members meet on the first Thursday of each month to plan, vote and budget for the upcoming PTA events. We then present our recommendations to the association a few weeks later in that same month.

We had lots of yummy snacks, homemade cookies, baked goods, and treats! The kiddos hung out, as the parents lead the way for the PTA at Arlington.

FYI: Board and chair roles are 2 year positions and then new folks step into those roles! If there's an event that you enjoy, please know that the board members and chairs are working hard behind the scenes to make those events happen. If you're interested in joining the board, know that as the year wraps up there will be openings that need to be filled!

I (Stacie) also had the opportunity to attend the monthly Torrance council PTA meeting. All the PTA presidents from 17 elementary schools, 8 middle schools and 4 high schools in the Torrance district gather the first week of the month.

We heard about updates, council decisions, training for our units, learned about procedures and discussed upcoming events. And then we bring that information to our school unit in partnership with our principal and work together!

Thanks for reading and hope you're having a wonderful 3 day weekend!
