October Weekly Update ~ October 17, 2025
📣 Families! Here's What's Happening This Week:
A note from Mr. Lee
Dear Carter Families,
I hope this message finds you well as we settle into the heart of October. It’s been a busy and exciting stretch at Carter — classrooms are buzzing with learning, our fall sports teams are competing hard, and our school community continues to show what it means to RISE.
This month’s Positive You theme in our classrooms is “Identity,” and our focus this week is on Belief — belief in oneself, in others, and in the power of community. Middle school is such an important time for students to discover who they are and what they stand for. As parents and educators, the more we can work together to reinforce these traits, the stronger that sense of identity becomes for each child.
As we head toward the end of the month, I want to thank you for your continued support — whether that’s encouraging your child to get to school on time, attending conferences, cheering at games, or simply checking in at the end of the day. These moments matter more than you know.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Carter team.
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Lee
Special Remarks from Mr. Syswerda
We have one week remaining in the first card marking. Please encourage your student(s) to make up any missing assignments and to take advantage of any retake opportunities. We will also be analyzing student data for our 3rd earned privilege list, set to begin on October 27th. Our fall sports are winding down and boys basketball tryouts will begin on November 5th. If your son is interested in trying out, make sure they have a current physical on file.
