Hello Tiger Families!

Welcome to the new school year! I hope that your summer has been filled with memorable moments - with a few more left to create before the first day of school on Wednesday, August 20. My family and I were fortunate to spend part of our summer exploring Europe and relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Tahoe. Whether we were taking in historical landmarks or enjoying the peacefulness of the mountains and lakes, I return feeling recharged and even more grateful to lead such a special school community.

As we prepare to launch the 2025–26 school year, my hope is that every member of our Wildwood family finds and celebrates the beauty in learning, growth, and connection. Together, we’ll work to elevate each student’s academic journey and create meaningful experiences that make Wildwood a place where everyone thrives.

This newsletter includes back-to-school information for a smooth start to the 2025-26 school year. Please be sure to read the entirety of this newsletter AND click on ALL the links. Doing so will help you access important information including important dates and events, annual updates for parents, a meal application form, PTA membership, our bell schedule, our online spirit wear store, and more.

School will begin on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. We look forward to seeing you soon!.

Warmly,

Mr. Lynch

Meal Application Form

FREE MEALS FOR ALL STUDENTS

School meals for the 2025-2026 school year will be available to all students at no charge. Although all students will receive free meals through the duration of this school year, we request for all families to complete this Online Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility for School Year 2025-2026 form, as this form affects a variety of areas unrelated to school meals, including school funding, college application fees, SAT fees, bus passes and more. Even if your child does not plan to eat school lunches, it is important to fill out this form to help ensure our schools and families receive the available resources.

Make it personal!

Now is a GREAT time to get student names on lunch bags and water bottles. Please do your part to prevent loss of personal items by labeling student belongings. This small act also saves school staff hours of time over the course of a school year trying to reunite students with their belongings.

2025-26 Lost & Found Protocol: All Lost & Found items will be removed from campus and donated to a good cause on the last day of EACH month. Please do your part to remind your children to bring personal items home each day, and we will assist as well.

Visitors & Volunteers

My mother always told me "Many hands make light work", and that's certainly true in education. We want you on campus with us! All adults entering the campus during school hours must sign in electronically with their picture ID in the front office and obtain a visitor or volunteer badge/sticker to be worn at all times while on campus. All volunteers who work with students must have a current TB test or a Risk Assessment Questionnaire on file as well. If you would like to volunteer on campus, and we hope you do, please complete and return the Volunteer Registration Authorization Packet that will be sent home with students on the first day of school. Attach a copy of your license/ID to the packet, or we will make a copy for you in the office on your first visit.

Attendance

If your child will be absent or arriving late for any reason, please remember to call our office or leave a message on our attendance line at (805) 492-3531 before 8:30am. Be sure to state the date and reason for your child’s absence or late arrival, and your child’s teacher or room number. Any unexcused absence is counted as a truancy. Students are allowed only three truancies per year before action is taken. Planning ahead with your child will also help to avoid unnecessary tardiness. Students who arrive on time feel better about themselves and perform better in the classroom.
