The Bowmen, led by head coach, Michelle Bellamy, recently traveled to the State Archery Tournament in Belton for the 7th consecutive year. After competing against 180 teams consisting of 4,500+ archers over a 12-hour day, the Bowmen narrowly missed their target of a shot at nationals.

"These kids are just awesome! Some had amazing shooting days and recorded personal bests; some had off-days but showed true grit and determination to do their best in a tough field of archers. I am so tremendously proud and happy that our archers were able to compete again this year," Bellamy said.

Although they missed nationals, they were again recognized as Ambassadors of Archery.

"Our students are stellar ambassadors for WHS and the sport of archery," Bellamy said.

Overall the Bowmen finished ranked 41 of 155, and the team shot its highest team score ever!

Congratulations to the following archers. AHMO be a Bowman!
