School Site Council School Site Council

Pauba Valley Elementary School is holding elections for School Site Council (SSC). We invite you to nominate yourself or others to serve as a [parent/ community member, classroom teacher or other staff member]. Please submit your name(s) on the form below by Wednesday, September 9th at 4:00 PM.
School Site Council is composed of equal numbers of staff and parent representatives who serve a 1-2 year term. They meet throughout the year to oversee the implementation of various programs in the school, including state and federally-funded programs. The School Site Council is a governing body which is responsible for deciding how to spend Title I money to improve the instructional programs here at Pauba Valley Elementary School. The School Site Council members work together to set goals for improving student achievement at the school, allocate the funds to accomplish those goals, and evaluate the effectiveness of current programs.

Math Pilot Information Math Pilot Information

We are excited to share that the Temecula Valley Unified School District is launching a mathematics curriculum pilot at our elementary schools. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to strengthening math instruction in alignment with the updated California Mathematics Framework.

General and special education teachers representing all grade levels and sites will be participating in this pilot. Elementary school classrooms will explore two programs: Classroom Mathematics California and Bridges 3rd Edition.

The pilot timeline is as follows:

  • 8/17/26 - 10/21/26: Classroom Mathematics California (CMC), Curriculum Associates

  • 10/22/26 - 12/18/26: Bridges 3rd Edition, Math Learning Center

While not all students and teachers will take part in the pilot, sample textbooks and instructional materials will be available for review at each of our elementary schools, as well as at the District Office. You will have an opportunity to leave your feedback through a QR code at each of the locations. If you view the materials online, here is the link to provide feedback. Since we are engaged in math pilot #1, you can only leave feedback for Classroom Mathematics at this time. You will be able to leave feedback for Bridges 3rd Edition after October 22nd.

We value your partnership and appreciate your continued support of TVUSD’s efforts to provide high-quality educational experiences for all students.

iReady Information for Families iReady Information for Families

With a new school year starting, we are revising our iReady routines. All students K-5 will take the iReady Inform (previously called iReady Diagnostic). Once the teacher's have their scores, they will direct student use of iReady. At school, we will be using iReady to support students who need intervention in reading and math For students who currently are at grade level, we will not be utilizing iReady in class or homework. We will continue to have students take the iReady Inform before winter break and in the spring to monitor student progress.
