Message from the Principal
Dear FNE Families,
As we welcome the month of March, we are proud of the continued growth and hard work we see throughout our campus. Our students have been diligently preparing for upcoming STAAR assessments, and we are currently conducting STAAR Interim testing to help guide instruction and identify areas of need. Their focus and determination are truly inspiring, and we appreciate your support in helping them stay motivated and confident.
This month, our Capturing Kids’ Hearts theme is Courage. We are encouraging students to show courage in their learning, in their relationships, and in the choices they make each day. Whether it’s trying something new, asking for help, standing up for others, or persevering through challenges, courage plays a vital role in helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
March also brings our much-anticipated Spring Break. We hope all our families enjoy a fun, restful, and safe time away from school. Please remember that when we return, we will resume our 4-day school week schedule. Maintaining strong attendance and consistent effort is especially important as we prepare for STAAR testing next month in April.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we are building a strong foundation that empowers our students to reach their fullest potential. We are grateful to work alongside you each day.
Expect nothing less but the best, we are FNE!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Cruz
Principal

Testing on campus- No Visitors
During the month of February and March, our campus will administer several assessments for students in grades 3–5. To minimize disruptions and maintain test security, we have "No visitors" for Feb 23-March 6.
We also kindly ask families to support a strong testing environment by ensuring students have good attendance, arrive on time, and avoid early checkouts on testing days.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.

This month’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts Family Newsletter highlights Courage, inspiring students to take brave steps, face challenges with confidence, and stand up for what is right. Together, we can help children strengthen this important life skill by encouraging them to try new things, supporting them when they encounter difficulties, and celebrating moments of bravery, big or small. This month’s activities are designed to spark meaningful conversations about courage and empower children as they build resilience, character, and confidence in themselves. Each month, you will receive a newsletter from your school and Capturing Kids’ Hearts that aligns with a monthly character focus. These newsletters include ideas, challenges, and activities to help you connect, reflect, and grow as a family. Each family newsletter will:
- Define and explain the focused character trait for the month.
- Provide you with ideas and activities to help you grow your child’s character.
- Equip you with conversation starters you can use to talk with your child and make their learning personal and relevant. Get started this month with the first family newsletter. We are excited to be on this journey with you! We are BETTER Together, Your Friends at Capturing Kids’ Hearts
