A note from Ms. Ballard
We have completed our first semester! I am so proud of our kiddos for increasing attendance and trying their best on the iReady assessment. Next week we do not have school. Please enjoy time with your family and friends. Students will return on Monday, January 6, 2025. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
We hope you have a wonderful break! Happy Holidays!
In the picture above, we have staff & PTO celebrating with hot cocoa and Santa.
Holiday Break Suggestions
The info below contains recommendations to help your child be successful.
Here are some ways to help with learning over Christmas break:
- Read for fun: Encourage students to pick a book they enjoy and read it daily.
- Write thank-you notes: Make a list of people who have helped you and write them thank-you notes.
- Explore career paths: High school students can explore potential career paths through internships, job shadowing, or informational interviews.
- Make a snow globe: Children can design and add liquid to a snow globe to improve their STEAM literacy skills.
- Set short-term goals: Set short-term goals like homework assignments, reading comprehension, and note-taking.
- Maintain a routine: Keeping up a similar school routine can help prevent brain drain and keep students motivated.
- Balance learning and leisure: Make sure to balance structured learning activities with leisure time.
- Explore nature: Go sledding, skiing, snowboarding, or on a winter hike.
Attendance Matters
Check your child's planner and folder each night to check the attendance tracker.
Please aim to send your child to school each day. If your child is not sick, please send them to school. Please click "attendance" below to view a message from Ms. Ballard that was shared in our morning announcements.

After School Program
Walkers
We understand that older siblings may need to walk our kiddos home. Please be sure your child's teacher is aware of this arrangement. We have a new form to be completed by parents/guardians of students that are walked home by siblings that are under 18 years of age. Once the teacher is made aware, we will send home the form.
