Halloween Costumes (participate for $1- proceeds to Samaritan's Purse)

Wednesday, Oct. 21, a representative named Stacy Lane from Penland School of Arts visited the freshmen at Mayland Early College High School to teach them how to make corn husk dolls. Students crafted all kinds of these dolls, each one with a unique look and some even with accessories. Ms. Lane also gave the freshmen some history and legends about corn husk dolls.

MECHS is very appreciative of the partnership fostered by MEC and Penland School of Arts
