FAFSA and Oregon Promise
Seniors, You may have recently received a note in your advisory class regarding FAFSA and Oregon Promise. This note is to let you know if you still need to complete your FAFSA or Oregon Promise. Just to recap, FAFSA is federal financial aid for students planning to attend a 2yr/4yr college or university or a trade school/program. Some scholarship application also require proof of FAFSA completion. Colleges and trade programs use this information to determine your financial need and will sometimes provide you with extra funding. Oregon Promise Grant is financial assistance for students planning to attend a community college in Oregon. If you plan to use Oregon Promise, you MUST also complete your FAFSA by June 1st. Make sure you also list an Oregon community college on that FAFSA application!
- Submit the Oregon Promise application in the OSAC Student Portal.
- Submit the FAFSA or ORSAA for the year that you will start college
