5th Annual College Fair

Harvey High School Seniors and Juniors had the opportunity to participate in our 5th Annual College Fair on Friday, September 23rd. All members of the Classes of 2023 & 2024 were encouraged to attend regardless of their current plan after high school. We wanted to give all students the experience of interacting with members of the community and to practice their interviewing skills.

Over 50 colleges and universities were represented as well as five branches of the military. Once again our students received several compliments for their polite and engaging behavior. Students showed true Red Raider PRIDE by representing us very well.

Senior Seminars

During the week of September 12th the Guidance Department met with the members of the Class of 2023 over the course of two days. During our meetings we reviewed with the students the Ohio Department of Education Graduation Requirements and where each of them stood in regards to graduation. Letters were mailed home to all parents/guardians to make sure they were aware of their child's current standing.

Additionally, we introduced SchooLinks and how the seniors will be using this program as they plan for life after graduation. Seniors will be using SchooLinks to apply to colleges, request transcripts and letters of recommendations and create resumes. Students will also be expected to use SchooLinks to log both their community service hours and student engagement experiences.

School Counselors will be conducting individual senior meetings over the course of the next several weeks to continue to work with each seniors graduation plan and for their life after Harvey High School.

Students have the ability to invite parents to review their SchooLinks information by sending them a link to create an account. If you child has not already done so, please ask them to send you the link via text or email (from their SchooLinks account)
