PTA Butter Braid Sale Is Back!

Dear Sunset Valley Families,

We are very excited to announce that we will again be raising money for the

Sunset Valley PTA with the sale of delicious Butter Braid® pastries! This is our ONLY

“selling” fundraiser of the year!

Butter Braid® pastries are convenient, delicious, and premium quality! Stock your freezer

for easy breakfasts and desserts for your family, as well as those upcoming holiday guests,

and your friends and neighbors! These hand-braided pastries fill your home with warmth

and the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread!

PAPER ORDER FORM: Orders can be collected via paper forms. Please return your order

form and money to your teacher no later than Thursday, October 20th.

ONLINE ORDERS: Your supporters can also order & pay online! Please click on the following

link: https://tinyurl.com/SVEF22. Then, scroll to your child's name (or use the search bar),

and share your child’s online store link with your family and friends!

PROCEEDS: The profits from this fundraiser will go toward all of the amazing programs,

events, and activities that the Sunset Valley PTA provides to our students, staff, and

families, including class field trips, family fun night, grants, staff appreciation, and science

enrichment.

Join PTA and Support ALL SVE Jaguars!

PTA NEEDS YOU!

The Sunset Valley PTA needs YOU! Our annual membership drive begins NOW and continues all year. Each individual membership costs $10.00 and each business membership costs $50 - $100. Moms, Dads, Teachers, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Neighbors are urged to join and support our school as well.

The Parent Teacher Association is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students within the school. It is also a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what is happening in their school.

There are many benefits to joining the PTA! The number one reason to join the PTA is to benefit your child. Parent involvement has been proven by decades of research to be the greatest predictor of student success.

PTA forms will be going home in backpacks with students. We would LOVE to have you be a part of this great team that supports all students and staff at SVE!

2022-23 BACKSNACK PROGRAM

Sunset Valley Elementary and Abundant Life are pleased to offer the Backsnack Program. Each student of the families who sign up, will receive a plastic bag filled with nonperishable food items on Thursday. Click here for more information.

2022-23 LUNCH INFORMATION

On Tuesday, September 6th (as per the student handbook, lunch visitors are discouraged the first two weeks of school), we are open for lunch visitors again! If you plan on joining your child for lunch, please arrive a few minutes before their scheduled lunch time so we can notify the teacher to send your child to the office at lunch time. You and your child will enjoy lunch in the office conference room.

The waivers that allowed all students to receive free breakfast and lunches the past two years have ended. Please apply now, to ensure you qualify for Free or Reduced meals when school begins.

Only one application per household is needed.

Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to complete the free and reduced meals application online. This can be completed on a computer, tablet, chrome book or cell phone. The application is available at the following link: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application

Parents/guardians will be responsible for any breakfast and lunch charges incurred prior to being notified of the results of the application.

We are looking for some volunteers who would like to help take photos of happenings around SVE and design pages for our yearbook. If you are interested in contributing in this way, please email Allison Gibeson at allison.gibeson@gmail.com.

We are always looking for photos of SVE happenings!
