Pine Plains CSD will present a new Capital Project to our voters on October 15, 2025. The vote will take place in the cafeteria of the Stissing Mountain Jr/Sr High School from 7am - 8pm. We are asking the voters for their approval on a variety of necessary health and safety improvements in our buildings, as well as improvements to our athletic fields and the courtyard at Stissing Mountain Jr/Sr High School.
Addressing aging infrastructure is critical to ensure the health and safey of students, faculty and community members. Proposed improvements include roof and elevator replacements at Stissing Mountain Jr/Sr High School and masonry restoration at Seymour Smith ILC.
Athletics are a source of pride within the Pine Plains community, and our facilities should be a reflection of that. This project would replace the gymnasium floor, resurface the running track, replace the tennis courts and construct a new concessions building with bathrooms at Stissing Mountain Jr/Sr High School.
The existing courtyard at Stissing Mountain Jr/Sr High School is underutilized and outdated. This project would create a more functional space with outdoor lighting, furniture, awnings and concrete walkways to support future outdoor classroom use, host events, and provide an additional space where students can socialize.
PPCSD truly appreciates your continued support of our schools and we look forward to seeing you on October 15th!
