In honor of National School Principals' Day, staff gave Ms. Leavins flowers and a gift today (May 1). We're so thankful to have her as our leader and appreciate the tireless efforts she devotes to our Braves family & community. Thank you for all you do, Ms. Leavins!

We are so excited to celebrate our phenomenal staff members during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6-10)! We'll be hosting dress-up days and daily activities. Students and staff, get your outfits ready and help us make this an EPIC week of recognizing & celebrating our amazing teachers!

Congratulations to Ollinca Soto-Yovis on being selected as Outstanding Senior for Walton County at tonight's Take Stock In Children College Readiness Workshop! Rilee Justice, Alejandro Tellez-Gonzalez, and Grady Campbell (not present/pictured) were also recognized at the event. We're so proud of these phenomenal seniors!

2023-2024 yearbooks have arrived! Seniors may pick up their yearbooks during lunches & after the Senior Signing event on Friday, May 3. Underclassmen may pick up their yearbooks during lunches on Monday, May 6.

Senior exams will be given on May 8 and 9:
- Wednesday, May 8: periods 1, 3, 5, and 7
- Thursday, May 9: periods 2, 4, and 6

These exams are for seniors only and will be for non-EOC classes. Senior Day is Friday, May 10. This will be their last day on campus.

Awards ceremonies for the 2023-2024 school year will be held in the auditorium on Thursday, May 9. We look forward to celebrating & honoring our students that have excelled this year.

- 11th grade - 8:30 a.m.
- 10th grade - 10:00 a.m.
- 9th grade - 1:00 p.m.
- 12th grade - 6:00 p.m.

Attention seniors:
We'll be taking your “24” photo in front of the school on Friday, May 10. Please wear your senior shirt OR a navy blue shirt if you don't have a senior shirt. As an example, we included last year's class picture.

Here's a list of upcoming senior events, as well as the dress code for capping & graduation. Please check our school website & Facebook page for end-of-year updates & announcements.

Walton High School will offer the CLT (Classic Learning Test) on Saturday, May 11. Students are encouraged to take this exam if they need to meet requirements for Florida Bright Futures; Florida college/university entrance exams; NWFSC dual enrollment placement; and the Algebra 1 EOC/Grade 10 FSA ELA/FAST graduation provision. Students may sign up in the SSA office. Seats are limited. The last day to sign up is seven school days before the test day. Test scores will be available for pick up in SSA five school days after the day of the test.

Our final School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting for this school year will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at 4:30 p.m. in the library media center.

The spring football game (vs. Crestview) will be held at Walton High School on Thursday, May 23, at 7:00 p.m. Go Braves!

he Class of 2025 may sign up for their senior portraits, which will be held on July 22, 23, and 24. The sign-up sheet is on the Class of 2025 bulletin board in Braves Blvd. Portraits will be taken in the auditorium with a sitting fee of $30. The photographers will take formal and casual photos. When signing up on the bulletin board, please clearly write your cell phone number. Remember to put your appointment date & time in your phone, so you don't forget!

Summer workouts for Braves football will be held in June and July. JV sessions will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., and varsity sessions will be held from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. JV players must attend 19 summer workouts, and varsity players must attend 22 summer workouts.
