Let's Have Some Fun

Hello Families,

Spring is in full effect, so we know families are really busy. Here at CRMS we're revving up to be busy as well. There will be a full on display of our students' talents this spring and we will be preparing to send off our 8th graders to high school.

Right now we are navigating state testing, so students have had to adapt to changing schedules, later lunches, and having to remain quiet for large blocks of time. We are aware of how this can impact students, so we've been thoughtful in planning some ways to incentivize students for coming to school, being self-disciplined, and doing their best.

On Friday students will be taking students out to the annual CRHS Tractor Day, so that will be a nice treat for students after 4 days of testing!!

We are also excited to almost have our CRMS Vision Statement almost completed...we just need your input. Our staff has been working for most of the school year on this process and now we are inviting you, our CRMS families, to provide your voice as we culminate the process. You will be able to find a link to the Google Doc where you can vote on the Vision Statement that you think represents what our school should aspire to be!

The sun is shining and we're here trying to make school a great place to be!

Take Care. Be Well.

CRMS After School Tutoring

After some requests from students and a few parents, and after piloting some sessions with our 8th grade students...

We are pleased to announce that we will be able to provide our students who are struggling in the areas of Math and ELA with after school tutoring. We have LIMITED teacher availability, so sign ups are mandatory. Students will have permission slips available that need to be turned in by the day before attending a session. These will be available to through email and given to students during their lunch periods.

This is targeted towards students who currently have Ds and Es in 2 or more areas or need more assistance with catching up with assignments. A parent/guardian must provide transportation for the student at 3:30.

Testing Best Practices and Reminders

1. School begins at 7:30am. Students who arrive at school at 7:38am will be late to testing and will not be able to get into the testing session. They will have to do a make up test session.

2. Make sure students charge their laptops overnight. There are not charging stations for them to use during testing.

3. A good night's sleep is always helpful.

4. Encourage your child to eat a good breakfast before testing. A hungry tummy can be a distraction to a student while testing.

Practicing these basic routines will help your student perform to their best.
