The transition from concurrent to in-person learning brings the need to rethink the way we use our Learning Management Systems. With this in mind several departments collaborated to identify best practices for instructional integration.

Currently, the system we used is reaching capacity on the quantity of data it can load, therefore, some Seesaw classes are missing and/or incomplete. As the amount of data being transferred lessens this should clear up and expedite considerably.

The way our SIS creates Seesaw classes is a little different than how it does for the Schoology courses. With that said, homeroom teacher will receive the Discovery, courses and EE-1 teachers will need to go in and manually add the Discovery teachers (PE, Art, Music and Tech Apps/STEM teacher) as a co-teachers in their respective classes.

Here is a resource from Seesaw on how to add co-teachers that are not new to Seesaw! However, if you trying to add a NEW to Seesaw teacher, please connect with your Academic Tech Coach.

NISD will be using the Google Login method for student sign in EE-1 Seesaw classes.

If you're using Seesaw for Schools, students can just sign in with their school email address to access all of their classes.

Once students sign in to Seesaw, they stay signed in for up to 1 year.

1. Open the Seesaw Class app.
2. Tap 'I'm a Student.
3. Seesaw for Schools, students tap 'Sign In with Google' or type in their school email and password to sign in.
