Dear Primary Parents,
Friday, April 4, we do have school! To celebrate, every student who is here on April 4 will receive a La Vernia Primary frisbee with their lunch. We’ll also be having a fun picnic-style lunch outside, so please send a beach towel with your child to sit on! (Parents will NOT sit in picnic areas with students, so if you come to eat with your child, please be advised you will sit in the cafeteria with your child for lunch as our outdoor spaces will be used for the students.) Additionally, Coach Hodge has arranged for inflatables in the gym, and every student will get time during PE to play on them! Have your student bring or wear socks for safety on the inflatables. (This is NOT for parents to attend. Field Day is in May).
If your child has been absent, please email their note to mfullen@lvisd.org. This ensures the note doesn’t get lost in their backpack! Please remember that notes must be received within 3 days of the absence.
School hours are 7:25 am to 3:40 pm. The car line opens at 6:45 am. Attendance is taken at 9:30 am each day, so please plan appointments around this time to avoid your child being marked absent. Students are allowed to miss up to 15 days in total (excused or unexcused) throughout the school year.

New Playscape Update
Our students absolutely LOVE the new playscape! We wanted to let you know that we've noticed a couple of things that need fixing or replacement, and since the playscape is still under warranty, the company will be coming this weekend to remove the slides and replace a few parts. To be safe, we've decided to close the playscape temporarily until the repairs are completed. We’ve been told this will take a few days. Thank you for your understanding!
Kinder Parents- Buy Bunny Ears Now
Students will be asked to wear bunny ears for their program at the end of April! We are advertising now, so that you can grab them while the dollar stores have them in stock!
Please send in a note within 3 days of a student being absent!

LIBRARY LOOKS
- CONGRATULATIONS to all students who turned in their 600 minutes of reading for the SCHLITTERBAHN WAVES OF PAGES READING PROGRAM. They have earned a FREE ticket to Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels! WAY TO GO! We are very proud of you. Tickets will be delivered to students in April.
- Our LITERATI BOOK FAIR will be April 21-25! Once again we'll have extended after school hours for families who want to shop together. We look forward to seeing you there! Details will be sent home when the date nears.
