Our PTA Family Movie Night was a great success! Thanks to those who volunteered to help and to everyone who came to enjoy the evening and support the PTA.

Coming up this month:

We are continuing to encourage students to have great attendance at school. On Friday, October 3rd we will enjoy our second lunch time reward for students who have 85% or higher attendance. THANK YOU for making school a priority!

Tuesday, October 2nd is National Custodian Appreciation Day! We are so grateful to Mr. Talbot and Miss Dorough for all they do to keep our school running smoothly. Students are invited to wear hats to school that day and will be writing a "Hats Off" thank you note in their classes. If you would like to do anything for our custodians, Mr. Talbot is always outside before and after school every day and would love a smile, high-five or a thank you!

The book fair will be open on Thursday, October 2nd and run through the following week, ending on Tuesday, October 7th. This is a different schedule than we've done in the past with the fair starting the day of SEP conferences and ending the following Tuesday. Students will still have 5 days to shop. Here is the schedule:

October 2nd (2:45 PM - 9:00 PM)

October 3rd (8:30 AM - 9:00 AM & 2:45 PM - 3:30 PM)

October 6th (8:30 AM - 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM)

October 7th (8:30 AM - 9:00 AM & 2:45 PM - 3:30 PM)

Come visit the book fair (on the stage) during Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday night!

Halloween falls on a Friday this year and we are looking forward to our annual Halloween Parade at the end of the day on October 31st. We will continue our tradition of parading around the block and back to the school. See the attached letter and map with more detail about this fun annual event.

All 4th and 5th graders can begin reading and preparing for BATTLE OF THE BOOKS! See the flyer below for this year's titles!

This year's National Red Ribbon Week Theme is "Life is a Puzzle - Live It Drug Free". Throughout the week we will be sharing ideas on how to life a healthy, drug free life. Visit the Red Ribbon Week website for more ideas and activities for your family.
