About This Training...
Designed for Preschool special education administrators and staff, this dynamic professional development training equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to write high-quality Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals that truly make a difference in young children's lives. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of federal and state requirements for preschool IEP goals, including alignment to the Evaluation Team Report's (ETR) Description of Educational Needs, while exploring the hallmarks of a high-quality IEP.
Grounded in a developmental lens, the training provides an overview of key early childhood milestones to ensure goals reflect each child's prioritized needs and support meaningful access to daily routines and the general education curriculum.
Through the analysis of real goal samples, hands-on writing practice, and structured peer review using provided ETRs, participants will leave with the confidence and competence to craft functional, measurable goals that move beyond compliance — driving authentic outcomes for the Preschoolers they serve.
Personnel who are involved in development of Preschool IEP goals, including Preschool Administrators, Intervention Specialists, General Education Teachers, and Related Service Providers, are invited to participate. Registrants are required to complete The ABCs and 123s of ETRs and IEPs series before attending this event.
