Thursday Oct. 3: Picture Retake Day

If a student would like a retake of their photo, they simply bring back their original package and hand it to the photographer when they get their photo taken. We will reprint the same package for them using that new image.

Sometimes a student may not have a physical package to return if they ordered a digital download or if the parents have viewed the first image online and were unhappy with the photo. We will photograph any of these students that present themselves for a picture.

Pictures will be taken on the CPA Landing near the Brand Road Entrance.

PSAT-Tuesday, Oct. 22

On Tuesday, October 22, the PSAT/NMSQT will be administered to all 11th grade students and registered 9th and 10th grade students. To accommodate testing, all DCS high schools and Emerald Campus will operate on a three-hour delay.

  • For students who use district transportation services, buses will run both at their normal pick-up times and on the three-hour delay schedule. This provides flexibility for students to either arrive at their regular time or follow the delayed schedule. Students who arrive at the normal time will have a quiet space to study or work while testing takes place. Breakfast will still be available.

  • Once testing concludes, the school day will resume as usual at 10:55 a.m. for the high schools and 10:50 a.m. for Emerald Campus, starting with 4th period. The remainder of the day will follow the regular bell schedule.
