Leighton Update
September 26, 2025
Dear Leighton Families,
We want to sincerely thank all the parents, extended family and community members who supported our Laps for Leighton: Bubble Run event. The AEPTO was fantastic in helping coordinate the event and our students had an absolute blast. There is no doubt this created a core, positive moment for our students' 25-26 school year. We are so appreciative of everyone's efforts for our students and our community's generosity.
Our 5th graders did a tremendous job completing their fairy houses this week and they have placed them along the trail and our outdoor classroom learning space. Our younger Miller learners participated in the collaborative learning opportunity and providing the "fairies" for the incredible houses our Leighton students created. This is a wonderful experience for our whole campus.
Students and staff had so much fun participating in the spirit week theme day leading up to our highly anticipated Homecoming game. It was awesome to see all the Greenmen spirit in the halls and we appreciate your support at home in creating a festive atmosphere. We hope you have an enjoyable Homecoming weekend!
Sincerely,
Spencer Warders

Update Final Forms: Parent Bill of Rights
We recently were required to add a new form into our Final Forms titled "Parents Bill of Rights." Dr. Milcetich has previously highlighted much of this information in his opening communication to families, as well as his ACSD update sent out on 9/8/25.
Everyone will need to log back into Final Forms to access this form and add their signature that you have received this communication. If you could complete this as soon as possible, that would be greatly appreciated. All of your forms must appear GREEN to be COMPLETE. - Thank you!

Counselors' Corner
As the school year moves along, good study habits and organization skills can make a big difference in your child’s success. Here are a few simple ways families can help at home:
- Create a study space: Quiet, well-lit, and distraction-free.
- Use a planner or calendar: Keep track of assignments and activities.
- Break tasks into steps: Make big projects more manageable.
- Keep a routine: Consistent study times build lasting habits.
- Encourage healthy habits: Good sleep, balanced meals, and water boost focus.
Need support? Our counselors can help with strategies for organizing homework, setting up routines, managing time, and building study skills. We’re happy to meet with students or provide guidance to families—don’t hesitate to reach out!
Upcoming 5th Grade Field Trip: Exciting learning opportunities await! If your family needs help covering the cost of this trip or accessing other resources, please contact us—we’re here to support every student.
