Monday, May 12th

ZAP Continues: All assignments marked as !MISSING in the Powerschool gradebook will be referred to the ZAP Program. A Missing Assignment Report will pulled prior to 10:00 a.m. each Monday morning. Notifications will be delivered to students & a text sent to guardian. To get signed out of ZAP, students will need to complete the assignment with full effort, fill out a green get out of ZAP form located at the office window and have the teacher sign the form between passing periods/before-after school/during the class you are zap'd for and then return it to the office.***Reminder New ZAP Policy - Any missing assignment referred to ZAP will be a ZERO at the end of the 2nd week on the ZAP list. Assignments will not pull on the ZAP list for 3 Monday's in a row. Please discuss this policy change with your student and remind them on week 2 that it is due on Thursday or will be a ZERO.*** (Final Week For ZAP)

Student Lunch: Commons area/outside this week. Open gym last 5-10 minutes if supervision on Monday/Tuesday - last days.

Graduation ceremonies @ 10:00 a.m. Doors open to public 9:00 a.m. Seniors: arrive at 8:00 a.m. for pictures before the ceremony. Graduation is a formal ceremony and expected to be conducted and treated as so. Students are expected to dress nicely, business casual attire - ex: no flip flops, clean shoes and clothing, if jeans are worn, they should look new and professional. Senior families, if your student needs help purchasing appropriate attire, please see Mrs. Henning prior to Wednesday, May 14th. Any student not wearing nice, business casual (at a minimum) attire will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony. Graduation caps may be decorated but must be school appropriate.

Additional Info/End of Year Proceedures.

All students are required to return materials/sign out of each class, pay all fees in the office, and return chromebook and charger by May 22nd. $25 fee if charger is not returned. Students taking driver’s education will have access to their chromebooks at the school when driver’s education begins.

Students will complete a cumulative final in each class period. Attendance is required on May 21st and 22nd for finals. Finals are 10% of the overall semester grade.

No 7th-11th Grade finals will be allowed to be taken prior to Wednesday, May 21st. Any student who misses school or a finals block on May 21st or May 22nd will have the following options to come to the school and make up their missed final test: CJSHS Library on Friday, May 23rd - 3:00 - 6:00 p.m., or Monday, May 27th 9:00 a.m. - Noon, or Wednesday, May 28th 9:-00 a.m. - Noon. Any finals not completed by Wednesday, May 28th will be a 0 in Powerschool. HS Track students may make arrangements to take 6th & 7th hour final on May 21st or prior to leaving on May 22nd or may make up the final at one of the additional times listed above.

Any junior high student failing core classes upon completion of finals will be contacted about summer school requirements by the end of the May.
