After Day Two

After Day Two

You Linearized and Predicted but . . . You Linearized and Predicted but . . .

Is your equation working?

If your equation is not predicting mass to your satisfaction, it may be because you did not sample your period well enough.

How many oscillations did you count?

Recall - The directions said "AT LEAST 5 complete oscillations".

If you did 5 oscillations, you need to redo your data.

Collect period data for 10-20 oscillations.

Adjust the Sample Time

Click on "Mode: Time Based" located at the bottom left corner of the screen.

Change the default time from 5 seconds to 10-20 seconds.

Redo Your Data

Collect new data for 10-20 oscillations.

Graph, linearize and write your new equation to predict the mass of unknown objects.
