Welcome to Glenda Arnold ECLC
Hello Arnold Families,
Welcome to Glenda Arnold ECLC! Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare our classrooms and hallways for a vibrant, inspiring new school year filled with learning, laughter, and growth.
At Arnold, we believe that a childβs educational journey is strongest when built on a close partnership between school and home. Throughout the year, our team will work hand-in-hand with you to foster your childβs social, emotional, and academic development.
Thank you for trusting us with your young learners. We are honored to welcome your family to our campus and we are ready for your child to begin writing their educational story with us.
Morning Arrival - FIRST DAY: Doors Open at 7am
Morning Arrival 7:00am-7:30am
Morning Bus Students If your child will be riding the bus to school on August 13th, please ensure their name and teacher's name are clearly labeled on their backpack. Young students can be shy around new faces on the first day, and this simple tag allows our staff to greet them by name and safely escort them directly to their classroom.
RCISD Employees Only You may drop off your child at 6:30am in the Arnold Library. This is the only time that using a badge to enter the campus as a parent is permitted. You must sign them in and there is a fee associated with this employee perk.
Walking to Class: You are welcome to walk your child into their classroom on their first day of school.
First-Day Jitters: We expect some separation anxiety, and our staff is well-trained to support children (and parents!) through these moments.
Parking & Safety: Parking space will be limited, and parking in the fire lane is strictly prohibited. To ensure every family has an opportunity to park, please take your photos, say your goodbyes, and make room for the next family as quickly as possible.
IMPORTANT: Before you leave your child's classroom on August 13th, you must confirm their afternoon dismissal transportation mode with the classroom teacher or paraprofessional.
Morning Arrival - August 14th and Beyond
Morning Arrival AFTER the 1st DAY
Morning Bus Students If your child will be riding the bus to school on August 14th and beyond, please ensure their name and teacher's name are clearly labeled on their backpack. Your teacher should have placed a key ring (example below) with their name and classroom information on it. This tag ensures that we know which classroom to escort your child to.
RCISD Employees Only You may drop off your child at 6:30am in the Arnold Library. RCISD EMPLOYEE Drop off closes at 6:59am. If you arrive at 7:00am, you need to stay in the car line until an attendant approaches your vehicle. This is the only time that using a badge to enter the campus as an employee parent is permitted. You must sign them in and there is a fee associated with this employee perk.
Car Drop Off: After the 1st day, please have your child's backpack ready to go when the car attendants approach the vehicle. We will help them out of the car and to the front doors. We have multiple staff members ready to check your child's backpack tag (example below) and deliver them to the correct teacher in the cafeteria.
2nd Day Jitters and beyond: We expect some separation anxiety, and our staff is well-trained to support children through these moments. This can be an emotional time for parents and students, please reach out to your teacher for a check in mid-morning if you need reassurance.
Parking & Safety: We do not accept walk-up students. They must be in a vehicle in the car line. When adults park and attempt to walk their child inside, it causes traffic to back-up and it can throw your child's routine off for the day. We will move the car line as quickly as possible.
IMPORTANT: If you do not have a BLUE parking tag, you are not permitted to enter the BLUE LOT (the lot on the playground side). We have GOLD and BLUE lots in order to help traffic flow. Please help our parking lot flow by following the linked map in accordance with your assigned color lot.
Afternoon Dismissal - 2026-2027
Afternoon Dismissal
- Dismissal Time: 2:35 PM

- GOLD Tag: Pull into the GOLD parking lot and follow the directions of the lot attendants. Please ensure your GOLD tag remains clearly visible in your windshield the entire time you are in line.

Missing a Tag? If you have not received a dismissal tag, please contact your child's teacher as soon as possible.

π Principal's Corner
Dear Glenda Arnold ECLC Families,
Welcome to a wonderful new school year! I am honored to introduce myself as the Principal of Glenda Arnold Early Childhood Learning Center.
A little about me: I am starting my 20th year in early childhood education. I began my career as a prekindergarten teacher right here in Royse City ISD before going on to teach kindergarten. I hold a master's degree in early childhood education and am special education certified. My husband Aaron and I have two beautiful daughters, Kinsey (Sr.) and Kayla, (Pre-K). Early childhood education is my true passion, and I am deeply committed to ensuring that every single student feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
At Glenda Arnold, we know that early childhood is a time of rapid growth, discovery, and excitement. Our goal every day is to cultivate a warm, nurturing environment where your child can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Strong communication and collaboration between home and school are essential to that success, and I look forward to building a strong partnership with your family.
Thank you for trusting us with your young learners. We are going to have an incredible year together!
Kim Faulk
