THE WEEKLY LION UPDATE
RUSHVILLE CONSOLIDATED HIGH SCHOOL
LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU SEE IT
WEEK 33
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week!! There are many things planned to show how much our students and Administration appreciate the job done by these amazing people every day!! We are running out of weeks in the 2024/2025 school year. I can't believe we are already upon Senior week!! I admit that even though this is a time of celebration it is also somewhat of a difficult time for me. As you get to know students throughout their years in High School it becomes difficult to see them go. I am glad I have a few more days to spend with them!! Everybody enjoy your weekend and not to worry It's Almost MONDAY!!
GREATNESS FROM STAFF AND STUDENTS
JDay (Journalism Day) at Ball State University
Students from the Holcad and Lion's Live crews attending the annual media and communication conference known as JDay (Journalism Day) at Ball State University on Friday, April 25th. Students attended a wide range of workshops throughout the day led by professionals in the industry. Topics included Live TV Reporting & Anchoring, Doing Great Sports Play-by-Play, How Women are Shaping the Future of Motorsports Journalism, Social Media and the News, What's in a Brand and Traveling the World and Telling Great Stories, just to name a few. The Keynote Speaker was Jennifer Prandato, Art Director of NBC Today Digital who had a great presentation on transferring from print to digital media, as well as what it's like to feel Imposter Syndrome in a constantly evolving field. Students all agreed that the workshops were very interesting and are excited to go back next year. They had their photo taken with Charlie Cardinal...Chirp Chirp!
