Sentinel Snapshot

On Wednesday, we had the Association of Washington School Principals on site to recognize us as a "Schools on the Rise" winner! Steilacoom was one of nine high schools in Washington to receive this award which recognizes sustained and impactful efforts to elevate student voice and leadership. Today, we gathered students from our Sports Management class (which is new this year) to celebrate some of the students who are leading us forward. When we talk about building joyful and confident graduates, a large percentage of that outcome is rooted in the confidence young adults gain from the experience of meaningful leadership. We are proud to hang this banner at our school, and today we celebrate the educators who center student voices in this space.

Getting better, every day. - Jake

Press apples into cider the old-fashioned way! Listen to great music while strolling through the street fair featuring quality handcrafts and booths. Enjoy apple related foods such as apple cider float, caramel apples or apple pie with ice cream! Check out the firetruck and meet firefighters! This is a family friendly event.

Student clubs from the Steilacoom High School will offer activities for children in the tennis court area and help out in other ways. Members of Boy Scout Troop #71 run one of the presses and help with the press operations. The Museum and the Wagon Shop will also be open.

Steilacoom Historical School District uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
