December Newsletter
Principal's Message
Hello Lincoln Families,
We love seeing our families on campus! Whether you are here to help in the classroom or share a meal with your child, your presence makes our school special. To ensure every child stays safe, we are tightening up our entry procedures this December.
Help us help you by following these steps:
Have your ID ready: We will ask to see your photo ID before unlocking the door.
Check in: Always sign in at the office immediately upon entry.
Plan ahead: Please schedule all volunteer shifts with teachers in advance so we know to expect you.
Planning a Lunch Date? You are always welcome to eat lunch with your child! Please just double-check that you (and any grandparents or friends coming along) are listed in Infinite Campus. For safety reasons, we cannot release a student or allow lunch visits with adults who are not explicitly listed in the system.
Need to add an aunt, uncle, or family friend to the list? You can do this by contacting Kaila Kocer at 970-613-6200 or kaila.kocer@tsd.org
Additionally, I would like to take a moment to remind everyone about our Hub at Lincoln. It is a place where we can connect you with temporary food and clothing resources. Additionally, we can get you connected with other resources within Larimer County including employment services, the Food Bank, Housing resources, and many other services. I encourage you to reach out to Tanya Santacruz at Tanya.Santacruz@tsd.org or at 970-613-6200 if this is something you may need to access.
Along those same lines, please consider completing the free and reduced lunch form. Each year the for needs to be submitted for requalification. The application process is quick and confidential. You can complete the form online at https://linqconnect.com/public/meal-application/new or by completing a paper copy and returning it to Lincoln. If you need help completing it, please don’t hesitate to contact our school office at 970-613-6200.
Warmly,
Ms. Stott

Attendance Letters
New Attendance Letter Process
We wanted to share an update about a new district-wide process for attendance communication this year. The district has now enabled an automated attendance letter system, which will send notifications to families when a student reaches 4, 7, 10, and 30 days absent. These letters are designed to keep families informed about their child’s attendance and to help identify any potential attendance concerns early on.
Please know that while these letters are automatically generated, we still greatly appreciate your continued communication when your child will be absent. We understand that illnesses and family circumstances come up, and we do not expect students to attend school when they are sick.
Thank you for helping us support strong attendance and a healthy learning environment for all students!
For more information visit our Attendance Page on our website!
Monthly Attendance Challenge
Attendance Challenge Update!
We have been running an attendance challenge for the month of November, and the goal was for each grade level to reach 94% positive attendance. Grades that met the goal earned a Glow-in-the-Dark Dance Party in the gym with popcorn!
🎉 Congratulations to 1st Grade and 3rd Grade for achieving 94%! Way to go!
👏 Several other grades were super close — keep it up!
We’ll be running this challenge again next month, so let’s see if we can get even more grades to hit the goal!
Character Strong December~Empathy
This month’s focus is Empathy. One way to think about Empathy is “understanding and connecting with other people’s feelings.” Empathy is a practice that can help us grow strong relationships.

Discover the TSD Preschool Program!
In Thompson School District, we are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education led by dedicated and highly-skilled teachers and paraprofessionals. To further support our students, speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists visit weekly, and our Early Childhood Coordinator staff provide continuous classroom support, feedback, and coaching.
We use research-based curricula to foster growth in literacy, math, language, motor skills, and social-emotional learning. Our curriculum aligns with preschool through grade 12 State Academic Standards and meets federal Head Start Child Outcomes, ensuring our students develop the foundational skills needed for future success.
We believe that strong relationships are at the heart of learning. Our classrooms are designed to foster meaningful connections between students, teachers, and families, creating a supportive and inclusive community where every child feels valued and inspired to grow. By building these relationships, we nurture a love for learning, social-emotional development, and a strong foundation for future success.
We invite you to explore this opportunity and join our vibrant and caring learning community! If you are interested in being a part our preschool community, please complete this interest form:
