Weekly Plan

What's new?

Staff,

I hope you all had a fantastic break! Intersession went well and I am very grateful for all of you that gave your time and energy to work that week to offer fun learning experiences for our students! Let's get our PBIS boot camp going in Morning Meetings and tackle these next 7 weeks before winter break to dig in and keep learning!

We start off our week with literacy PLCs on Monday and Tuesday. I am looking forward to getting back into the routine given our break, intersession, conferences, etc. We also have early release for NA only on Wednesday and will get information out to you soon, but we will all start in the library and will spend time with Mr. Raso, learning about ST Math, reflecting on our OG work, etc. Specials teachers, please see me about your plans for that afternoon.

I will be taking our last group of staff to the 95% Group Fall Institute on Thursday and Friday and am excited to finally have a fully trained staff. Danielle, Carrie, and Jenni will be here should a need arise. I am always available via phone, text, email, etc. I will have an elementary principal on call for me both days.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 11 to attend the PTA fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings!

We will share more information regarding the food drive collection boxes and items at the assembly on Tuesday morning.

Take a moment to read about the "helper's high" that kids get when they show kindness to others in the link below :)

Also, the second link is a reminder piece about why we LOVE teaching and how we need to balance the politics of education so that we don't get too focused on numbers instead of children.

The One Reason I Quit Teaching

The One Reason I Quit Teaching

September means apples, bulletin boards, foliage, name tags, a new class and everything else about going back-to-school! After over thirty years of starting the fall in a classroom, as a student or teacher, I decided to take a break this year. I taught for thirteen years all over Oregon, and it was not an easy…
