πŸ›ŸHope Squad News

We are excited to have been chosen as one of three Prosper ISD schools to host visitors from Poland on Monday, November 10th. Our visitors, led by the Hope Squad CEO and Hope Squad Founder, will be here to learn about Hope Squad's impact and purpose at the middle school level. The goal is for them to gather information that will hopefully help them implement a similar program in Polish schools. πŸ₯From the Nurse

The Texas Legislature mandates health screenings for students in specific grade levels to help identify potential concerns early. These screenings will take place during the school day on November 18, 2025 for Spinal Screening.

If all screenings cannot be completed in one day, they may be continued on a subsequent day.

Required Screenings by Grade Level:

  • 8th Grade Boys: Spinal Screening

  • 7th Grade Girls: Spinal Screening

To ensure accurate results, students who wear glasses or contact lenses should bring or wear them on screening day. Families of students who are identified as needing further evaluation will receive a referral letter following the screenings.

Nurse Hannah Baio is here to partner with you in supporting the health and well-being of our students. Please feel free to reach out to her with any questions or concerns.

πŸ”Student Clubs

Clubs are a great way for students to get connected at Hays! In accordance with SB12, a parent or guardian must provide written permission before a student may participate in a club. If your child will be participating in a club this year, please complete this form. ***Please note that more clubs will be added to this list as they are approved throughout the semester. If your child is interested in a club that's not listed, encourage them to talk to a teacher about getting it started!

Together We Cultivate

  • This week, several students who had earned positive praise in Minga were given the opportunity to purchase from the food truck and enjoy lunch in our beautiful courtyard!
  • Hope Squad students are preparing for Monday's big visit! We're proud of several leaders who will be speaking on a panel about their experiences with Hope Squad. They've spent lots of time this week finalizing details.
  • A caricature artist visited art classes and taught students about this unique art form. Several students were even lucky enough to go home with a souvenir caricature of themselves!

Prosper ISD CTE Wants to Hear From YOU!

Prosper ISD’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs help students discover passions, build real-world skills, and prepare for future careers β€” and your feedback matters! We’re inviting parents/guardians to share their thoughts through a short questionnaire focused on program awareness, accessibility, and student outcomes. Your voice helps shape opportunities for Prosper ISD students β€” and you will also have a chance to get involved by supporting our CTE Advisory Committee if you’re interested! Thank you for helping us keep Prosper ISD’s CTE programs strong and connected to our community!

Profile of a Learner

What does it mean to be a successful Prosper ISD learner of tomorrow? We are gathering input from all stakeholders to develop a Profile of a Learner. This framework will capture the essential skills and attributes our students need to thrive in life, not just in the classroom. It's our vision for the complete learner, developed in alignment with our Strategic Priorities.

Athletic Event Expectations

  • To ensure student safety at Hays, all students who attend campus events as spectators are required to be picked up by 8:00 p.m. or shortly after the event ends, whichever comes first, unless they are attending the game with a parent. Students who are not picked up on time may lose the privilege of attending future events.
  • For ANY games played at Children's Health Stadium, please also utilize the Clear Bag policy.

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

🫢 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
