Genrefication
The SFHS Library has been undergoing the process of "genrefication" since August 2022. Genrefying is "organizing a library by subject and genre, more like a bookstore, to enable students to find materials more easily and improve circulation" (Follett). We started the process by genrefying fiction novels last year, and this year we are working through nonfiction. Book checkouts have increased by 14% compared to this time last year, and we have received positive feedback from numerous students, faculty, and staff.
