Our first full week is a wrap.

In math your Loons worked with number lines and comparing numbers. We discussed negative numbers, positive numbers, whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ask your Loon where they found most success in math and what they may feel like they need to work on. Further, ask your Loon where you can find a number line in the real world.

In ELA your Loons worked on finding the theme in a short story. Ask your Loon what short story they read this week and why they chose that story. Watch a movie with your Loon and talk about the themes they noticed in the movie.

In social studies we learned about the United States government and then began looking back in time at the main government during the Early Modern Era. Ask your Loon what they found most interesting about our government.

In science we observed the water cycle and how our planet plays a part in the process. Ask your Loon what fact they liked best about what they learned.

Have a wonderful weekend!
