HMS Student Council is excited to host our first annual “Paws and Puffs” Co-Ed 5x5 Flag Football tournament. All proceeds for this event will be donated to the Hobart Humane Society.

The double elimination tournament will be on Tuesday, April 30th from 6-8 under the lights at the Brickyard. The cost is $20 per team. Team sign ups can be found on the Canvas Class of Pages in the announcements folder for students. You can also Click Here: 5x5 Team Sign Up

Each team only needs to submit ONE Google form, but every student participant must have a signed waiver in order to participate. Waivers will be available in the main office and in my room (#2315) beginning Monday, April 8th or they can be can printed using the following link: P&P Waiver

This event is open to all HMS students and HMS staff. Teams are required to be co-ed, meaning each team must have at least 2 males and 2 females with a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 7 players per team. Students and staff can participate on the same team. However, all participants are only allowed to compete with one team. Staff are encouraged to come join the fun! If you do not want to participate in the tournament, but want to help, let me know. There are other opportunities to get involved...especially in the referee department.

There will be trophies awarded to the top three teams. Team costumes are not required, but encouraged! Spectators and participants will be voting at the event for the team that demonstrates the best school spirit. This team will win the spirit trophy!

All waivers and fees should be turned into Mrs. Hairston in room #2315 by April 24th. Late waivers will not be accepted!

If you are not participating in the event, you are encouraged to come out and cheer for your favorite team. Admission will be $2.00 per person and concessions will also be available for purchase.
