Live Learning with Screencastify
Tech Tip Tuesday (April 7, 2026)
Live Learning is a feature in Screencastify that lets teachers watch videos together with a class or group in real time, whether projecting on a front screen or sharing directly to students' devices via a link.
Everyone watches the same video at the same pace; when the host pauses, plays, or seeks, it updates for all viewers instantly. You can launch live, gamified quizzes embedded in the video to check understanding on the spot, turning passive watching into an active lesson.
Use your own video, YouTube, or the library
Whether you recorded it yourself, found a video you like from YouTube, or from the Premium Library, use what you'd like. Also, you can clip only what you want to use in class.
Make your own Questions or have AI assist
When setting up a Live Learning session, you have two flexible paths for creating quiz questions: building them manually for total control or using the AI Assistant to generate them from your video’s transcript, of which you can (and should) tweak to your liking.
Live Leaderboard
Make it lively with student completion and accomplishment up on the big screen for your questions. Pause at each question stop in the video.
Enhance Accessibility with Closed Captions
Generate closed captions from any video with a transcript to ensure that everyone in the room can understand easily.

Bring the Orchestra to Your K–6 Classroom
Inside the Orchestra offers free, ready-to-use resources that help K–6 students experience orchestral music in a fun, hands-on way. The site includes activities, lesson ideas, and interactive tools & games that let children explore instruments, rhythm, and sound, even if you are not Bach, Brahms, or Vitamin String Orchestra.
AllSides is built on a simple idea: there is no such thing as completely unbiased news. Students are growing up in a world where their feeds often show only one point of view.
By showing headlines and coverage from the left, center, and right in one place, AllSides helps young people:
- Notice how the same event can be framed in very different ways
- Compare language, tone, and what facts are highlighted or left out
- Practice separating facts, analysis, and opinion
