It's all about PREP It's all about PREP

Parents, Teachers, and Students

We had an amazing Teacher Appreciation Week here at Bluffton High. Many thanks to the PTO, Charter One Realty, The French Bakery, Walmart, the Reed Family, Sipping Cow, Jimmy John's, The Grind, Outback Steakhouse, and One Hot Mama's for the delicious meals and treats.

This is the last week before End of Course Exams begin for Underclassmen, Senior finals begin on Thursday. It is imperative that students come prepared to finish the year in strong fashion. Laptops and chargers should be with the student every day. If something is missing or broken, please come to the library as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue before the end of the year rush.

Spring Concert is Wednesday, May 14 at 6pm

The EOC Prep Rally is Thursday, May 15 from 3:50 to 6:50.

AP Testing continues this week and will conclude on May 16.

We know what an amazing school Bluffton High is - so let's tell everyone else too! Nominations for Lowcountry's Best open today, May 5, at noon, so why not let all of Beaufort County know how much we love this school and our Bobcat community.

Volunteer with Youth Sports!

Bluffton Youth Sports is gearing up for another exciting season of youth baseball and softball, and they're reaching out to see Bobcat students might be interested in a great volunteer opportunity!

As a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, they rely on community support to keep things running—especially in the concession stands at Oscar Frazier Park and M.C. Riley Park.

They have weekly shifts available through mid-May, and this is a great way for students to earn service hours while supporting local youth sports. They're happy to provide documentation for public service credit.

To ensure a safe and secure environment at BCSD athletic events, all spectators and athletes entering our venues will be asked to remove hoods or face coverings that obscure one’s identity, such as balaclava-style masks. This practice, which is common at collegiate athletic events, will help us maintain safety by ensuring individuals can be easily identified if needed.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Please reach out to District Athletic Director Dr. Carlos Cave for any questions.

Mental Health Awareness Month History

Mental Health Awareness Month was established in 1949 to increase awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness in Americans’ lives and to celebrate recovery from mental illness. For more than 20 years, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has recognized Mental Health Awareness Month (MHAM) every May to increase awareness about the vital role mental health plays in our overall health and well-being and provide resources and information to support individuals and communities who may need mental health support.
