German Class: Learning in Action
Students from Mr. Spiegelberg's German classes celebrated St. Martin's Festival by singing a song and visiting classrooms with colorful lanterns they made.
St. Martin’s Festival, celebrated on November 11 in many German-speaking countries, honors St. Martin of Tours, a Roman soldier known for his kindness—especially the story of him cutting his cloak in half to share with a beggar. Traditionally, children take part in lantern processions (Laternenumzug), singing songs about St. Martin as they parade through town.
National Honor Society
Students in grades 10-12 are welcome to apply for MEA's Chapter of the National Honor Society. Please complete the NHS Application THIS WEEK by Friday, October 24th. (MUST open with your sandi.net account) If you have any question, please see or email Mr. Cate.
