PREPARES
Thanks to a grant from PREPARES, we are able to distribute diapers to families with little ones through our food bank. In March, 7 families received diapers and wipes.
Parish Garden
We have a couple of more beds available for adoption. This is a family-friendly, flexible way to serve. All vegetables harvested will go to our parish food bank. You are responsible for planting starts/ seeds, weeding, and harvesting. Most beds have a built in irrigation system that is operational during the warmest months. New to gardening? Our experienced volunteers will mentor you. Contact Morningstar in the parish office if interested.
Communities in Schools
Thank you to all who donated snacks, especially to The Columbiettes, to our community partner Communities in Schools. Here is an email of appreciation we received from one of the site coordinators.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the incredibly generous donation of snacks to support our students during state testing over the next few weeks. This request came on top of the ongoing generosity you consistently show us week after week, and we recognize what a significant ask it was.
Thanks to your support, we're able to meet students where they are and provide the nourishment they need to stay focused and engaged during this important time. Your kindness plays a vital role in helping us create the best possible environment for learning and success.
We are deeply grateful for your continued support and for the many ways your community has embraced the students and families at Karshner. Thank you for standing alongside us!
With appreciation!
Sara

Grow in Faith
Spring Service Day
Thank you for all who came out to help during our spring service day!
Food Bank Tour
This month, All Saints 6th graders toured the food bank and learned about hunger insecurity in our community. Curious about our food programs? Schedule a tour or shadow one of our drivers. Contact Morningstar in the parish office for more information.
St. Francis House
All Saints middle school students volunteered at St. Francis House this month, helping to organize shoes, sweep the floors, and hang up spring clothing items. Thank you!
Cross Walk 205
We had a beautiful turnout (and weather!) at our annual Good Friday Cross Walk. This year's theme focused on compassion. In honor of St. Veronica (the patron saint of photography) who showed such great compassion to Christ, we incorporated a photo exhibit prayer walk at Peace Lutheran. We also heard from All Saints parishioner, Dr. Michael Mosley, a palliative care physician, who spoke on how to accompany those who are suffering. His advice, "Don't just do something, sit there."
Mental Health Preparedness Class
Friday, May 16, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, there will be a Mental Health First Aid Preparedness class held at Christ Episcopal Church of Puyallup, 210 5th Street SW, Puyallup.
The class will be presented by Chad Pearson, a local Puyallup official. This course will help you recognize symptoms of mental health, how to talk to people about mental crises, how to refer people to get care, active listening and importance of self care.
The class is $50.00 to cover the cost of a book and other materials to be handed out. There are complete scholarships available for anyone who wants to come. Please contact Deacon Linda at Christ Church, 253-335-1175 or linpott@aol.com.
Pre-registration required. Please RSVP to Linpott@aol.com.

Rice Bowl Donations
We hope your Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl helped you grow closer to God and our global family through prayer, stories of encounter, fasting and more.
Continue celebrating CRS Rice Bowl’s 50th anniversary by joining Catholics across the country in sharing the joy of Easter with communities affected by hunger and poverty through a gift that will make a difference for the next 50 years.
25% of these donations are distributed in the Archdiocese through Rice Bowl Grants. All Saints recently received Rice Bowl grants to support the parish garden, food bank, and backpack program.
Donate today and receive a beautiful Easter prayer as a token of our gratitude.
