Red Ribbon Week is Coming to ECS!
Be a hero! Stay drug free! That's the theme of this year's national Red Ribbon Week.
Red Ribbon Week is coming up, October 26 through October 30! Established in 1985 to promote the prevention of drug use and to encourage healthy living, Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s largest and longest-running drug-awareness campaign. At the elementary level, our focus is on building positive habits, making safe and responsible choices, taking care of our minds and bodies, and understanding how to say "no" to unhealthy influences.
This year’s official theme is “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.” Throughout the week, our students will learn that being a hero doesn't require a cape—it simply means standing up for what is right, taking care of ourselves, looking out for our friends, and choosing healthy habits every single day.
How You Can Join In at Home:
Talk About Healthy Choices: Ask your child what it means to be an everyday hero and who the trusted adults in their life are.
Participate in Spirit Days: Check our upcoming events schedule (below) for each day’s dress-up theme!
Pledge Together: Take a moment as a family to talk about the importance of making safe choices for a bright, healthy future.
Join our Community Meeting: Join us at 9:00 AM, on October 26, for our whole-school community gathering will feature Red Ribbon Week!

Hannaford Helps Raises Funds for ECS!
Thanks to the hard work, generosity and participation of our school community, our school raised $762 through the 2026 Hannaford Helps Schools program. These funds will help us continue creating a positive, thriving environment for every student.
