Springdale High FFA
National FFA Week was celebrated by SHS by honoring their motto "Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Learning to Live, Living to Serve". FFA members hosted a luncheon and serve their peers and teachers on February 26th. The menu included all you can eat hamburgers, hotdogs, homemade fries and chili. SHS FFA Advisors include Chad Burkett, Josh Rice and Brittany Beck.
SHS Plant Sale
The SHS Agriculture Greenhouse students are hosting their Annual Plant sale on the following dates!
April 19: 7 am - 5 pm
April 20: 8 am - 6 pm
April 21: 7 am - 4 pm
Items for sale include ferns, tomatoes, herbs, peppers, impatients, begonias and various other plants for bedding and hanging baskets! Come early as stock sells out quickly!
SHS Custom Signage
SHS Agriculture students learn how to design using CAD software to design and customize signs for use in all types of environments. Additionally, students have been able to custom make tools for use in their Agriculture lab.
Students can enroll in the Agriculture Mechanics and Agriculture Structure courses at SHS to participate in these projects.

Cindy is a senior International Baccalaureate student enrolled in the IB Business Management Higher Level course which is a two year commitment.

Dreko is a senior International Baccalaureate student enrolled in the IB Computer Science Higher Level course which is a two year commitment.
Elizabeth Garcia - National Honorable Mention
Elizabeth is a senior majoring in Computer Programming and Cybersecurity. She is enrolled in the Level IV Cybersecurity and Level IV Programming classes with Mrs. Josephina Perez at SHS.
Lizbeth Perez - National Honorable Mention
Lizbeth is a senior majoring in Computer Programming and Cybersecurity. She is an International Baccalaureate student enrolled in the IB Computer Computer Science Higher Level course which is a two year commitment.
Maria Orduna - NCWIT Affiliate Winner
Maria is a senior International Baccalaureate student. She has taken AP Computer Science A, Computer Science Programming Levels I & II and Fundamentals of Advertising & Graphic Design within the Business and Information Technology Academy.
Giselle Perez - NCWIT Affiliate Winner
Giselle is a senior enrolled in CS Programming Level IV. She is a member of the Business & Information Technology Academy majoring in Computer Programming.
SHS Computer Science Instructors
Mrs. Kathy Johnson and Mrs. Josefina Perez teach Computer Science classes at Springdale High School. The students that received NCWIT Awards were encouraged to apply by these ladies. Each of them are passionate about Computer Science and encouraging students to compete in CTE student organizations.
