From the Principal's Desk
Young Elementary Families,
We had another great week at Young Elementary! Thank you to all the families who were able to join us for our Thanksgiving Feast. We had 275 parents, grandparents, extended family members, and guardians attend! We truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we worked to find seating for everyone, moved families through the serving lines, and helped students transition smoothly back to class.
A huge thank-you goes out to our custodians and cafeteria staff for everything they did behind the scenes to make this event such a success—this day would not have been possible without them! I also want to recognize all of our staff members who worked for two straight hours in the cafeteria helping coordinate every detail. Your hard work and teamwork made the day special for our students and families.
As we head into Thanksgiving break, I hope you all enjoy time with your loved ones and have a wonderful, restful holiday.
One last note: We need your support with our PTO! We have amazing events and activities planned for this year, and we cannot do it without our families. Please consider joining the PTO or reaching out to see how you can help. Every hand makes a difference!

Shoes That Fit Fundraiser
A message from Coach Harrison!
Help us ensure every child comes to school with confidence and comfort! Many students in our community lack properly fitting shoes, which impacts their ability to learn, play, and thrive. By supporting our Shoes That Fit Fundraiser, you’ll provide new, well-fitting shoes to children who need them most. Together, we can make sure no child is held back by something as simple as shoes.
Every dollar makes a difference—thank you for helping us change lives, one pair at a time!

In Counseling Lessons This Week...
We are entering phase two of our Gratitude Project!
First, each student in the building got to write down one person/place/or thing they are grateful for to add to a "Grateful Chain" that will be hung up in the building. This will serve as a reminder of all the wonderful things to be thankful for everyday!
In phase two, students will make a special surprise for those to help us learn and grow each day at Young!
