π¬ Principal's Message
Hello Reynolds Families,
We had an exciting week as we officially kicked off STAAR Testing Season! Speaking of exciting, you may have noticed a new structure in the carline this past week! We're thrilled to share some important kitchen renovation news below that explains what's happening on campus.
Reynolds' Kitchen Is Getting the Glow-Up It Deserves!
You know how every HGTV kitchen remodel looks amazing at the reveal β but nobody wants to live through the construction? Well, Reynolds Middle School is getting its own kitchen glow-up this spring, and just like any good renovation, we've got a plan to keep everyone well-fed while the dust settles.
During the kitchen remodel, Reynolds students will have three spots to grab meals. We'll be offering expanded breakfast and lunch options at three convenient service stations β the concessions stand, a mobile cart, and a food trailer β giving everyone more choices and variety.
This multi-station approach will actually help reduce wait times while giving students more flexibility in what they choose. Our team will monitor meal service daily and adjust staffing, station layouts, and menu options as needed to keep lines moving and ensure every student has plenty of time to eat β and yes, we've got a plan for rainy days, too!
We'll be conducting a soft launch of these new service stations next week on Friday, April 17th and officially launching this new lunch format full-time on Monday, April 20th!
What's on the Menu?
Students can look forward to a variety of standard meals, premium combos, and Γ la carte options at both breakfast and lunch.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast, served at the concession stand for $2.25, includes options like Belgian waffles or assorted cereal bowls, with fruit and milk or water on the side.
LUNCH
At lunchtime, all combo meals are $4.25 across every station and come with a small bag of chips or whole fruit plus milk or a small water.
Concession Stand: Hot dogs, nachos, chicken Caesar wraps, or buffalo chicken wraps
Mobile Cart: Cheeseburgers, chicken crispitos, grilled chicken sandwiches, and wraps
Prosper Food Truck: Chicken nuggets or cheeseburgers with crinkle-cut fries as a side
For those looking for a little something extra, most standard snack items, chips, candies, and drinks will still be available at all stations. Mozzarella sticks will be offered exclusively at the food trailer!
Menus will be posted on Nutrislice, making it easy for families to plan ahead. This renovation aims to improve our facilities and service, resulting in a brand-new kitchen worthy of its own before-and-after reveal!
