Beginning of Year Information/Procedures

Move-In and Room Process:

  • Our custodial team has been working hard this summer and we anticipate completion of all classrooms by the end of this week. Tiffany will confirm with the custodial team and share when staff may begin coming into the building, please reach out to her before coming in to work. Once all floors and furniture have been completed, you may come in Monday-Thursday between 7am-5pm to complete your classroom set- up if you choose. Teachers can have up to two days of approved flex time for working in their classrooms to set-up before August 2nd. Please take note of the following as you return:

  • Please be cognizant of the fact that our custodial team and office staff still have much to do and complete and may not be able to assist you immediately. Remember that in a three week shorter summer, we are all still working away at summer tasks.
  • Please don't drag items on the floor. If you need help moving furniture please ask Mr. Terry or Mr. Woody so that our gleaming floors stay shiny!
  • Please check with Tiffany before moving any furniture or materials from classrooms *This includes teacher desk, student desks, tables, chairs, bookshelves, filing cabinets, manipulatives, classroom libraries, etc.

  • Remember to check your staff/teacher mailboxes.

  • If you have unwanted items that you feel may be of interest to others, please take a photo and share with your Bobcat colleague via text, email, word of mouth, etc. Please don't bring unwanted items to the cafeteria, workroom, etc. or leave them in the hallways/walkways. All unclaimed personal items should be disposed of and all unclaimed school/district items should remain in your room.

  • For the most rapid response and effective support, please reach out to appropriate person (the BLT Roles and Responsibilities and Clerical/Office Roles lists will help but anyone listed can point you in the right direction if needed) with any questions or to inquire about beginning of year needs (i.e. STEM bins, technology, materials, furniture, supplies, etc.) that you requested before leaving for the summer (or need to request if you are new to RBM STEM). Try to think ahead so that you have what you need before August!
