Where Little Panther Cubs Begin BIG Journeys Where Little Panther Cubs Begin BIG Journeys

From the Principal From the Principal

This is how we Take Chances, Make Mistakes and Get Messy! Our little Panther Cubs are learning to ROAR with pride and how “we do school”!

🍎🐾 Week Eight Highlights at Luce Road

We’ve made it to Week Eight, and our Panther Cubs are thriving! From morning greetings to afternoon goodbyes, they are showing pride in their routines, courage in trying new things, and kindness in the way they care for one another. Every day, we see them ROAR with confidence as they grow in both learning and character. 📚💙

🌟 Dramatic Play in the Library
Each month our Library transforms into a Dramatic Play Scene. This month, students are going camping! ⛺️ They’ll set up tents, pretend to roast marshmallows, and share outdoor safety tips—all while building teamwork, creativity, and imagination.

🌟 Celebrating Our Custodians
This week we honored our incredible custodians for National Custodian Appreciation Week. 💙 Their hard work keeps Luce Road safe, clean, and welcoming for our Panther Cubs every single day. Please join us in giving them a big thank-you for all they do! 🧹✨

🐾 Preschool & Toddler Cubs
Our Toddler Care – Preschool Experience is expanding! Ms. Lynnie and Ms. Brea are guiding our youngest Panther Cubs through songs, sensory play, and routines that spark independence and joy. Their classrooms are filled with laughter, hugs, and little steps toward learning.

Meanwhile, in GSRP, our preschoolers explored the parts of an apple, taste-tested 🍏🍎, and practiced new songs and routines as they grow in teamwork and confidence.

🧸 Childcare for Alma Families
Our childcare program continues to expand, now offering:

  • Before and after school care

  • Care on non-school days

  • Snow day coverage

Please contact our office for enrollment details.

💙 Where Little Panther Cubs Begin Big Journeys
At Luce Road, we are proud of the way our Cubs are growing into caring, curious, and confident learners. This is where Little Panther Cubs begin big journeys—and Week Eight shows we are well on our way! 🐾

Warm Regards,
Mr. Ernest Conerly

Spirit Week! Spirit Week!

Alma’s Homecoming brought plenty of Panther pride to our center! Even our littlest Panthers joined in the fun, showing their spirit all week long with themed days, big smiles, and lots of excitement. It was a wonderful way to help them feel part of the Alma community and celebrate together.

Important Notes to Parents Important Notes to Parents

Dressing for the Weather

Please help your child dress for the weather. Our Panther Cubs have outdoor recess 3 to 4 times a day. Mornings can be chilly, so send a jacket or hoodie and closed-toe shoes. Students are expected to go outside each time. Please label all items with your child’s name. Thank you for keeping our Cubs comfy and ready to play!

ID or Pick Up Line Tag

To pick up your child, please show your Pick Up Line Tag. If you do not have it, you must present a photo ID to the office staff. This is required every day, even if you forgot your tag.

For safety, please do not remove your child from the pick up line until a staff member dismisses them. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe.

Labeling Student Belongings

Parents and guardians, please label your Panther Cub’s belongings, including backpack, coat, lunch box, and water bottle. Our Lost and Found is filling up, and labeled items can be returned quickly. Thank you for your help!

Clothing

Please make sure you send a change of clothes in for your student. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s helpful for them to have a change of clothes.

Please make sure ALL of your student’s belongings are labeled with their name! If it gets lost, staff will know who to return it to!
