MVMS Family Update
10/15/26
Principal's Message
Dear MVMS Families,
We wrapped up the first quarter with an exciting SWARM assembly. A portion of the assembly celebrated our middle school fall athletes! Our high school athletes joined us to recognize and celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our Yellow Jackets throughout the fall season. The excitement continued with a heated volleyball match between our staff and the 8th-grade volleyball players. After a competitive battle, the staff managed to edge out the 8th grade team for the victory! It was a fun way to celebrate our students, build school spirit, and close out the first quarter together. Go Jackets!
As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow.
Our fundraiser has come to an end. We are so grateful for your support, as we reached our goal of $70,000 worth of product by CRUSHING that amount and selling over $90,000 worth of product! The funds raised are going to go a long way at meeting the needs of our students and providing rewards for great academics, character, and growth.
Parent teacher conferences are November 4th from 5 PM to 8 PM and November 5th from 10 AM to 8 PM. Look for communication from your student's team on how to sign up for a conference.
Picture day at MVMS was October 13th. We will provide information for how to purchase pictures once proofs are available for you to view. The company said that the proofs will not be ready until mid next week.
Have a great long weekend!
Darin

The Jacket Closet
Did you know MVMS has a Jacket Closet? It’s a discrete, caring space where students can pick up the things they need—no questions asked.
What’s inside the Jacket Closet?
Clothing such as shirts, shorts, pants, and winter coats and hats
Shoes
Hygiene products
School supplies, including paper, pens, pencils, and calculators
Snacks
The Jacket Closet is all about making sure our students are comfortable, confident, and ready to learn every day. If your child could use something from the Jacket Closet, all they need to do is reach out to a trusted staff member.
We are proud to have this resource in place and are thankful for the generosity of those who help keep it stocked. Together, we can make sure all of our students have what they need to thrive.
