We are the heart of the community.

And skills to fly higher than the flock,

Headteacher's comment
This week has been packed with engaging learning and special highlights that brought smiles all round. Classrooms buzzed with core skills practice in reading, phonics and maths, while our PSCO visited to deliver important talks on pylon safety and the dangers of trespassing, helping children understand how to stay safe in our community. Pupils also enjoyed ukulele lessons to nurture their musical talents, alongside bible learning about the Old Testament led by a visiting expert who brought the stories vividly to life through interactive sessions.
We ended the week in style with a fantastic TT Rockstars day, celebrating times tables progress with competitive fun across all year groups, followed by our lively school disco—huge thanks to our amazing PTA for organising such a brilliant event that had everyone dancing and making memories.
See you all next week, Mr Mitchell.
The importance of school punctuality
We’d like to remind all families of the importance of arriving to school on time each morning. Our school doors open at 8:40am, and we welcome children into class at this time to settle in and start their day positively with toast and One Life journalling. School officially begins at 8:50am, and any arrivals after this time will be marked as late.
Arriving promptly ensures children don’t miss valuable time with their classmates or those important early learning activities that set the tone for the day. Thank you for your continued support in helping every child make the very best start to their school day.
Collective Worship
Forever Star
This week in collective worship, we shared the beautiful and moving picture book Forever Star by Gareth Peter. The story follows two dads who long to find their “forever child” and takes children on a heartfelt journey as they travel through the universe searching for the child who is meant to be part of their family. Along their journey, the story gently explores themes of hope, belonging and unconditional love, showing that families are built through care, commitment and the love people share for one another. The book helped us reflect on how every family is unique and special in its own way, but that the most important thing all families share is love. As a school, we are committed to helping our children understand and respect the diversity of families in our world. Through our worship and wider curriculum, we aim to ensure that every child knows that families may look different, but all children deserve to feel safe, valued and loved, reflecting our school vision of nurturing a community where everyone belongs.
